Each year GGFOA recognizes outstanding members of the organization. The following award recipients were honored at GGFOA’s most recent annual conference.

President's Award For Outstanding Service
Carmina Turner, City of Tifton

Created in 1988, the President’s Award recognizes one member annually for leadership in and contribution to the GGFOA.


Service Award
Sallie Kerr, Wachovia

Since 1994, the Service Award has been presented to an associate member in recognition of his or her spirit of volunteerism in promoting the purpose of GGFOA.


Significant Achievement Award

The Significant Achievement Award was introduced in 1999 to recognize governments that reach a significant goal within the finance function during the year. Such goals might include solving particular problems, successfully introducing new programs, developing more streamlined processing, or reaching new efficiency guidelines. [Entry form]
